Even with the stress, he likes the money and the cookies it buys him, not to mention the joy he gets from increasing Wee Ninja efficiency.

Motto
"Not right now, I have a very important conference call to make!"

Thank you for all the wonderful Birthday wishes! This year my goal was to make my Birthday last for an entire week :)

I totally forgot about this watch... my very first one I got for Christmas 1979 from my Uncle Ron and Aunt Beckie. Check it out, in true 70s/80s fashion it has my name on it, I thought in first grade this was the coolest thing...nearly 30 years later I still think its pretty cool! and it still works, though it doesn't keep the best track of time...how prophetic :)

To add to my collection of childhood memories, I was able to pick up this box set of all 6 original crew Star Trek movies...including my favorite one... Wrath of Khan (Star Trek II)! Hearing the SHAT yell KHAN! is one of the most memorable lines in cinema. I am a huge William Shatner fan! Its hard to believe that first film came out in 1979. I can remeber going to the movies around Christmas time of 1979 with my dad to see the first movie...and at the time I didn't think it was as cool as Star Wars. As an adult, I love Star Trek and remember watching reruns Sunday evenings growing up--- it was on right before the Muppet Show.

(high point is due to my jaw issue, I have been eating soup--- swimsuit season bonus!)

This pic I have had saved in my archive for years sums up my attitude today. I swear this was the look on my face for most of today.

For almost 5 years I have been avoiding ANY knit projects with a lace or pattern repeat... its a phobia and I have failed MANY attemps...

After searching for a swim sarong here - I thought, hell I can make something better than that with yarn from the stash (which means $0 dollars spent today :) )

I decided to try my had at the Ogee Lace Skirt from the summer 07 issue of Interweave Knits I am using a cotton/acrylic/viscose mystery fiber I have had for years--- its like a tweedy cotton with little nubs of color. My goal is to have this ready for an upcoming trip in May. I am really enjoying this pattern-- no crazy 8 row repeats, instead following a chart with 29 row motifs.

For all those Seinfeld fans....

In the FROGGER episode, Elaine replaced an antique collectible cake from the 1937 wedding of King Edward VIII that she had eaten with an Entenmann's cake. This cake tasted just as I imagined (wonderful!) when she was dancing around in circles in Peterman's office.
